財務省が7日発表した5月末の外貨準備高は9，11億3,700万ドルで、4月末から44億8,600万ドル減少した。減少は5カ月ぶり。米国の長期金利上昇による保有債券価格の低下や、ドルに対するユーロの下落でユーロ建て資産の評価額が減少したことなどが要因となった。ただ、金額では過去最高となった4月末の9,156億2,300万ドルに次いで過去2番目の水準だった。
